The turbulent boundary layer thickness to pipe radius ratio is delta/R = 0. The vortex generators are mounted either in isolation or in a symmetric counter-rotating array configuration on the inside surface of a straight pipe. The geometry and flow parameters varied include angle-of-attack alfa, chordlength c, span h, and Mach number M. The vortex generator is a symmetric airfoil having a NACA 0012 cross-sectional profile.
